What is Soft Washing?
Soft washing is the latest improvement in the pressure washing world. It's the collaboration of using low pressure and high quality cleaners that help prevent damage to surfaces. Pressure washing has the potential to pull paint, rip screens, cause water intrusion and so much more… Soft washing is more gentle on your property.
When is Pressure Washing the Better Choice?
The only time you should use the high pressure is on flat surfaces, such as sidewalks, driveways and pool decks. However, if you have pavers, they must be sealed in order to apply the high pressure. If not, the high pressure will cause the sand to blow out which then causes your pavers to be uneven.
How Often Should You Wash Homes & Pool Cages in Florida?
If you look at most material labels for your home (paint, aluminum, screening, ect.), you’ll notice almost all of them recommend/require an annual wash. Most people do not abide by that rule. However, here in Florida we have a higher level of humidity, growth of algae, and damage from the sun that it is highly recommended to keep your surfaces clean and refreshed so it can last as long as it should, if not longer.
- At minimum all surfaces need a good wash annually.
- Consider bi-annual (2x Year) for even better results.
- For best results, let us wash quarterly (4x Year) to keep your property looking like a magazine!
Will This Hurt my Plants or Grass?
Any wash has the potential to hurt vegetation if you are using cleaners around your home. Here at Spider Free Pool Cage, we go above and beyond to protect your plants during the wash. We pre-soak the plants with water. We use a neutralizer that helps protect the plants. We also move or cover any delicate plants. There is always risk, but our skilled team works hard to get things as clean as possible while also keeping your vegetation as protected as we can.
